Word reaching the ever-sharp ears of our paps has it that there is a new publications set to open in the country and it’s likely to storm the streets on 17th of this month.

Information passed to us has it that former top media boss wafula Ogutu and Pike’s business partner Patrick Quarckoo are behind the venture. We hear the new publication has already purchased the printing machine which was recently discarded by the new vision during its overhaul.

We have learnt that the media bosses are secretly in talks with most skilful journalists, writers and photographers from some media houses to join the company with a promise of a bigger salary margin.

Our paps at the Namuwongo based Monitor publications intimated to us that already some individuals at the Namuwongo have been allegedly courted among them are Emmanuel gyezaho, Bruno Birakwate, Carol Beyanga and Moses Serugo, Simon Kasyate and Mukasa Spinner from the Observer newspaper are said to have been approached too.

The impressive shopping list also includes some of the good writers from the defunct Weekly Mail.  Talking of Weekly Mail, rumors are flying around the corridors of the station which prides itself in broadcasting “ Kampala ‘s better music mix” that former boss and deputy station manager, Joel Isabirye might also hit the street as soon as his contract expires early this year, as the board is said to be very reluctant about retaining the guy
