Singer Wizkid was not really advertised that much for his Dirty December Concert but he has proved his greatness by filling up the Kololo Airstrip Independence Grounds to full capacity.
The concert which many anticipated to flop because of the poor advertisement and the fact that it was staged on a Thursday actually sold out. Wizkid has really proved his greatness that he doesn’t need much advertisement and he has recorded a third successful concert in Uganda.
The concert started with curtain raisers who included John Blaq, Vinka, Weasel Manizel, and Fik Fameica. The daddy yo hit maker then hitted the stage at almost a half past 11pm. He started his performance with his song ‘sweet love’ before he went on to sing ‘fever’ that led the crowd wild.
In the middle of his performance, he begged the revellers some two minutes of silence in commemoration of his fallen Ugandan friend, Mowzey Radio. Immediately after the 2 minutes silence, the Nigerian singer called Weasel (longtime singing partner of late Mowzey Radio) who was back stage and they performed the hit song ‘don’t cry’ which he did together with the duo.
He recognized the Radio and Weasel duo as African legends. As he continued on with his thrilling performance, the Nigerian crooner also invited Big Trill of the popular ‘Parte after Parte’ song on stage and they performed the song together. He then performed his mega hit song in Uganda ‘socco’ before ending the show with his current hit song ‘joro’ that drove revellers crazy.
